LINDE TRUCKS ROAM SUVARNABHUMI AIRPORT
Feburary, 2017 | Thailand
The King Power International Group is Thailand’s leading travel retail group, based in Bangkok. King Power Duty Free Company Limited manages and operates duty free shops in Suvarnabhumi, Phuket, Hat Yai and Chiang Mai International Airports. It reported renenues of over 2.4 Billion in 2016.
King Power’s relationship with Linde MH began later last year when the first order of a 1193 Series P20 Transport Truck was delivered to be used at Suvarnabhumi Airport. The truck was used to tow along goods from warehousing areas to front-end retail spaces inside the airport. Initially, King Power had a small fleet of locally manufactured towing trucks which they had been using for years, but after testing out the P20, users instantly realised the superiority of Linde products in terms of comfort, performance and reliability. Furthermore, Linde’s maintenance-free 1.5 kw AC drive won over users and King Power managers due to the smooth and powerful acceleration it was able to deliver, with high manoeverability allowing for higher work efficiency.
Not long after the initial, King Power decided to replace it’s entire fleet in Suvarnabhumi Airport by ordering 6 additional units, which have since been delivered and can now be seen, in our signature Linde red, transporting goods along, in one of the world’s busiest airports.
